\"\u039a\u03bf\u03c4\u03b6\u03cc\u03b3\u03bb\u03bf\u03c5 George Kotzoglou is Associate Professor of Linguistics at the Department of\u00a0Mediterranean Studies, University of the Aegean.<\/p>\n

He is a graduate of the Department of Philology, University of Athens (BA \u2010 Ptychion)\u00a0and of the School of Linguistics & Applied Language Studies, The University of\u00a0Reading (\u039c\u0391 in Linguistics & PhD in Linguistics). He has taught linguistics at SLALS,\u00a0The University of Reading, at the Department of Philology, University of Crete, at the\u00a0Department of Language, Literature and Culture of the Black Sea Countries,\u00a0Democritus University of Thrace, and at the Masters Programs ‘Technoglossia’ and\u00a0‘Applied and Theoretical Linguistics’, University of Athens.<\/p>\n

His research interests include the following topics: grammatical description of\u00a0language(s), syntactic theory, generative syntax, structure of Mediterranean\u00a0languages, morphosyntax, clitics, locality restrictions on movement, subjects and\u00a0finiteness.<\/p>\n

He has published papers in scientific journals (Lingua, Journal of Universal Language,\u00a0Journal of Greek Linguistics), edited volumes (among others: Contemporary trends in\u00a0Greek linguistics: studies in honour of Irene Philippaki\u2010Warburton, Expanding vistas in\u00a0the analysis of control and raising, The complementiser phase: subjects and whdependencies, Current issues in Mediterranean syntax, The Mediterranean, Greece\u00a0and the world) and volumes with conference proceedings (NELS, WECOL, Studies in\u00a0Greek Linguistics, ISTAL). He is one of the authors of the book Grammar for the 5th
\nand 6th grade of elementary schools. He is the co\u2010editor of the volume Reading\u00a0Working Papers in Linguistics 8.<\/p>\n
