Announcement of the Department of Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean

ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING THE ADMINISTRATION OF QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MEDITERRANEAN STUDIES

Based on the decision of the Faculty meeting of the Department of Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean no 18/23.04.2021 for the administration of qualifying exams for the academic year 2021-22, it is announced that, written examinations will be held in Greek in order for graduate candidates to be admitted in this Department from 1st to 20th December 2021 in its premises, in the city of Rhodes.

SUBJECTS TO BE EXAMINED

Candidates will be examined in the following three subjects:

1st Subject

Title: “Introduction to Classical Archaeology”

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY

University or Technical EducationaI Institution (TEI) graduates or equivalent degree holders, School of Pedagogy and Technical Education (ΑΣΠΑΙΤΕ) Graduates, of Greek or foreign Universities (accredited by DOATAP) as well as degree holders of Faculties of a two-year or longer course of study, within the domain of the Greek Ministry of Education and other Ministries.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION AND OTHER NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

Those who are interested in taking the qualifying exams for academic year 2021-22 for the Department of Mediterranean Studies are requested to submit their application with the necessary documents from the 1st until the 15th of November 2021.

Required documents

  • Application
  • Photocopy of the Degree or of the completion of studies Certificate.

Concerning the Foreign Universities Graduates they are required to attach a Certificate of Equivalence as well from the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Center (DOATAP) or from the institution responsible for the recognition of the diplomas.

The application with the required documents are electronically submitted in the on-line System of Applications for the Qualifying Exams of the University of the Aegean, which is available on the website https://katataktiries.aegean.gr. A printed application is not required to be posted to the Department’s Secretariat.

Furthermore, the Ministerial Decision  Φ1/192329/Β3/13-13-2013 (ΦΕΚ 3185/16-12-2013, τ. Β) related to the qualifying exams  has been posted in the previously mentioned websites.
