The Research Unit for European and International Politics was created in 2013 following the initiative of Sotiris Dalis assistant professor of International Relations – International Politics and European Unification. Τhe Unit operates within the purview of the Department of Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean.
The European Integration Process, globalization and major issues of International and Regional Security are the foci of research projects of the Unit.
PhD holders, doctoral candidates and postgraduate students are the core partners of the Unit.
Τhe Research Unit issues the biannual journal «Greece, Europe and the World» (issue 14 was recently released, where papers and research projects of the partners of the Unit as well as contributions of researchers from collaborating Institutes and Laboratories are published. Collaborating Institutes are the Institute of European Integration and Policy of the Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Department of Foreign Policy Analysis of the International Relations Institute and the Centre for Greek and International History of the University of Peloponnese.
