Erjus MeziniMy attendance at the University of the Aegean in Rodos satisfied my expectations to the fullest. I gained a lot of knowledge, received my degree without being burdened with debts, developed everlasting friendships and never felt overwhelmed with courses overload. In stating the above, I don’t mean to imply that the grades were undeserved. There are a lot of exams and professors never hesitate to fail bad students. In Rodos, however, you most probably will not experience the anxiety that is present in the universities of big cities. If you know how to manage your time, you will be given the opportunity to do well in classes, to relax when you need to, and to socialize. In the summer you will easily find a job to make ends meet, and you may improve your foreign language skills with the thousands of tourists. Local residents are always cheerful and supportive and you will find Rodos to be one of the safest places in Greece. Most of the professors, also, are easily accessible, and at the Department of the Mediterranean Studies you will be taught by professors with brilliant careers, some of them having received their PHDs from the best European and American universities. I have attended school in four different countries (Albania, Italy, USA and Greece) and have enrolled into different programs at six post-secondary institutions. I don’t feel that I’ve always made the right decision. However, if I had the power to turn back time I would, definitely, enroll again at the Department of the Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean.
